Ashna graduated from King’s College London with a Masters in Pharmacy. She worked in the community sector for 2 years in various pharmacies where she gained experience in patient interaction and gained extensive knowledge on all medications. As a pharmacist, Ashna’s main responsibilities involved legal and clinical validation of every prescription prior to dispensing medication to the public, giving her a keen eye for detail with safety and quality being paramount to all processes.
After achieving nearly 90% in all her qualification exams, she knew her strengths lay in the clinical and mathematical aspects of pharmacy. With a passion for learning beyond the books, clinical trials were the best space to contribute to drug development.
Aside from pharmacy she travels frequently, especially to spend time with her extended family in Kenya and India.
